ISSB: Sentence completion test 1

 

These tests are designed to check the metal level of candidate in ISSB.
They check the thinking of a candidate same like WAT(word association test,i will be adding these tests in later posts)
Note:
Here half of sentence is given and you have to complete the sentence the way you think is the right answer.
You have to give positive thinkings.

Documents required at ISSB selection center

 

The documents required for the following ISSB centers are the same that is:
  1. Documents For ISSB selection center Kohat.
  2. Documents For ISSB selection center Gujranwala.
  3. Documents For ISSB selection center Malir.
  4. Documents For ISSB selection center Quetta.
You need to bring the following documents for the ISSB verification along with you other wise you will not be able to enter to ISSb selection center and you will be returned back home.
  1. Original Matric certificate issued by board. Only result card/ mark sheet will not be accepted.
  2. Detailed marks sheet or Result card of matric
  3. Those candidates who have not been issued with Matric Certificate by their concerned board should furnish a certificate in this regard signed only by the Secretary Board. Any such certificate issued by school/college will no be accepted.
  4. The candidates who appear with a "Duplicate" or "Revised" matric certificate or if they have amendments in their names or date of births, should provide certificate explaining the circumstances under which they were issued with "Duplicate" or "Revised" or Amended matric Certificate, signed only by the Secretary Board.
  5. The original certificate and marks sheet/result card of Intermediate (FA/FSc, DAE/D.Com/DBA/ICS) is mandatory.
  6. Appearing candidates who have completed FA/FSc part-I will bring original part-I marks sheet along with surety/hope certificate of college.
  7. In case of "O", "A" level, equivalence certificate and birth certificate are compulsory. PHOTOCOPY OF ANY CERTIFICATE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE.
  8. Those candidates who have applied for the courses demanding qualifications higher than intermediate are also required to bring their superior degree/ certificates as mentioned in the concerned course advertisement.
  9. Domicile is a must for all those candidates of remote areas, who are eligible to apply on 45% marks in FA/FSc.
  10. No plastic coating is allowed on degrees/certificates except those which are already coated and cannot be removed.
  11. In case of non-possession of above-mentioned documents you will not be allowed to appear in the test and will be reverted back without paying traveling allowance.
  12. Before your arrival, you may contact GSO-2 (Selection) of your concerned ISSB on telephone number mentioned at the end or GSO-2(Selection) ISSB Kohat to clarify any doubt about educational certificates.

This tutorial is about ISSB bio data form filling tips/how to fill issb bio data form.
At ISSB Pakistan after arrival at the selection center You will be given a bundle of Bio data forms to fill.
Actually the Bio data forms are about your daily life,interests,activities,hobbies,your father and mother occupation you family and friends.
You need to be sharp while filling the forms ok.
here is a look of what they ask in Bio data forms filling at ISSB.
Bio data form is the first thing you encounter when you go for ISSB. Bio data form is a multi sheet form which requires different personal information regarding you.
Donot forget to Download the pictures of Bio data form ISSB and see it once before going to ISSB pakistan at the end of post.muftpakistan.
This form is very important.
This form is with the interviewer on the third day of I.S.S.B. and he asked questions related to you by reading from that form.

This form contains some general questions which you need to answer. But there are some questions about which most of the candidates dont know about, and they face difficulty while filling that form, I' ll jot down some of those important questions here.

CAST and SUB CAST question:
One question is related to your CAST, which means your "zaat" and its second part is SUB CAST. What Cast means is whether you are "Raja" "Malik" "Chohadry" etc. and subcast means "Awan", " Janua", " chandio". For example if there is a candidate who'se name is "Raja Waqar Ali Awan" This means that RAJA is his cast and Awan Sub cast. If any of you dont know about your cast and sub cast its recommended that you ask your father and prepare the answer .

About your Date Of Birth:
Another question that is a bit tricky is related to your date of birth, you are asked to calculate your age to the day your are at ISSB. Meaning how may years, months, and days old are you today?

For instance my date of birth is 6th May 1982 and today its 4 April 2008, how should i calculate my Age? The answer is simple . Do simple subtraction

4 - 4 - 2008 (minus)
6 - 5 - 1982
gives you 25 years 10 months 28 days. This is what you have to write over there.

About your relatives in Armed Forces:
Another question asked is about your relatives who are in the armed forces of Pakistan. Now thats a bit tricky one, that not only ask for names and ranks, they also ask where they are posted now, and what is their current address, you have to prepare and ask them before going for ISSB what is their current address so that you are not worried over there and scratching your head

A frequent reader of my blog couple of days ago asked a very important question that previously slipped my mind. The question is related to the bio data form, This question is about writing some event in your life. The title of the event is written and you have to write one based on it from your life.

The topic can be "write about the most tragic event of your life" , "write about the unforgettable incident of your life" "the most happiest event of your life" "the most shocking event of your life"

The main purpose of this question is to get to know you better, to see your emotional level, to see what kind of things you can bear, and how eventful your life has been, and if the event is life changing, then how has it influenced your life.

I would highly recommend you to prepare all of these topics in a way that they truely are from your real life, and also off course positive. Tragic event can be the death of some close loved one, unforgettable incident can either be tragic or happy event, the word "unforgettable" has the meaning that its something that was so startling that you just cannot forget about it for the rest of your life, so it can be some happy event, like for example you met someone you take as hero, or you got a chance to be on live TV or something like this. Most shocking as the title says can be both positive or negative but again positive shock and happy shock is advised.

The reason why am I saying is the event should be from your real life is that they might ask you questions related to that event, especially the interviewer if he finds it interesting or has the suspicion that its a made up fake event, if its such an unforgettable event and it really happened then you might give a hint of it in any of the psychological tests, thats natural. You can only defend it if it actually happened, it cant be a mega event, it can be a simple event, like getting first position in 7th grade, or getting something really interesting as winning a debating compitition in your school or college, anything that is appealing and real can be written.

You have to right at most 7 to 10 lines which are more then enough, but it plays a key role in your I.S.S.B

Knee Knocking Problem: Commission In Pakistan

 


                      Knock-Knee problem for Pakistan Forces:
In the Initial Medical as well as Final Medical of Candidates for selection in PAKISAN ARMED FORCES knee knocking Candidates are not taken as 100% approprate for future training,although there is always a chance for selection by curing or Fixing Knee Knocking/Allign Knock Knees.

Fix KNEE_Knocking My idea is first of all knee knocking isnot a very serious thing unless its extremely bad dats basically a lil deformity in legs.normal knee knocking it can be removed so not to worry too much about it just try to make it disappear as much as u can bfore u go for the test.

What is the knee knocking is it a disease?
Knock-knees are most commonly a normal stage of growth in young children, particularly between the ages of 3 and 5. Chances are your child's legs will straighten out by the time she's about 8 years old. Even if the trait is genetically inherited, her legs will probably continue to straighten out a good deal as she grows. Structural deformities are rare, but if you're concerned, point them out to your child's pediatrician.
It's not a disease it's just the way the legs formed. nothing you can do but learn how to compensate for it. my friends daughter is knock kneed. they didn't know til she started falling all over the place when she was young. she had to learn to walk a little differently but as she got older, it wasn't even there anymore. she's now a beautiful young woman with no trace of it.

How to fix Knee Knocking?
Main problem in Pakistan Forces Selection!
  1. Consult an army medical doctor first.(PAkistan Army Doctors are good)
  2. Leg braces are rarely used these days because most children grow out of knock-knees without any treatment. If your child's legs are still extremely curved after puberty (her feet are three or more inches apart when her knees touch), her doctor may recommend surgery. By fusing or placing pins in the "growth plates" at the ends of the leg bones, her surgeon can restrict her legs' growth in areas where it's been developing too quickly. This surgery requires general anesthesia and recovery takes a few weeks. Since your child is still growing, you can expect her legs to gradually return to normal after the surgery.
  3. I must Advise you to consult a doctor for better result for your selection in PMA,PAF and Pakistan Navy.

Knee Knocking in Pakistan Military Forces Medical?Training Problems with knock knees?
Knee Knock directly affect the training of soldiers in PMA,PAF and Navy academies.
Possible complications of knock knees include:
  1. Difficulty walking
  2. Self-esteem changes related to cosmetic appearance of knock knees
  3. If left untreated, knock knees can lead to early arthritis of the knee
Is it Linked With Flat Foot?
The answer is yes!

  1. Go with Full Confidence.

CMB test (Combine Medical Board)

CMB is special medical test conducted by PAF. Its held in Masroor Air Force Base Karachi. Air force has a hospital in the base where almost 3 to 4 days (working days) are spent by the candidates.
Upon reaching there you have to fill a few forms. There is a mess there for you. Here is the sequence of tests for GDP (they may very a bit, and for CAE and Non GD groups the tests might be a bit less tough and less in number)
1. Blood and urine test.
2. X Ray for chest.
3. ENT (Ear, DNS) Checkup by doctor
4. A test for ears in which they place a headphone on your ears and tell u that if u hear a beep in left or right ear then press respective button on a small panel.
4. Physical Exam (Height, weight, Chest measurements)
5. Surgical Exam
6. ECG
7. Heart beat Checkup by doctor
8. Then many tests of Eyes (ranging from Color blindness to check if there is any disease) Quite hectic and time consuming tests.

(I hope i havent missed anything). When you clear your CMB, you then go for Flying Aptitude test. It used to be in PAF selection center Karachi, but now it has been shifted to PAF selection center Rawalpindi.

MY Tips:
Normally this procedure goes 03-04days in some cases 05 might be taken but in very rare cases..
on ist day:first fill the forms then go for blood tests in which Hepatitus,AIDS,CP etc will be taken,Urine then Chest X-Rays..
on 2nd day:Your pulse rate checked,BP,ECG,ENT,Eye and Color Blind Book test
on 3rd Dayentist,Medical specialist and Surgical Specialist Will examine you..
then on 4th day fitness certificate will be in your hand inshALLAH! in some cases on 2nd or 3rd day surgical/medical specialist not available then it goes on 4th day..means order of test can be changed on availabilty of doctors.so keep in your mind 04 or 05days..
Advices:-
1.your teeth must be clean and clear from inner and outer side if not then clean from dentist..
2.clean vex from your ears if you do feel..
3.Read color blindness test away from the book as possible;if you read it from near then you might be confused.
 You will be stay in CMB Masroor Base in officers staying area;whereas Male candidates stay is in barraks..Your messing also alike an officer,residences are also near to CMB.

I can not come for the tests, can my test dates be delayed?
It is very much possible that the test dates mentioned in your call letter concide with your other examinations of some other institutions. We always tell our candidates to immediately inform us of such possibilities and write to us by post for an adjustment which in most of the cases is made. Please inform us immediately if your test dates concide with some other examination that you are taking. You are required to send us an application by post and also send us copy of your examination schedule as a proof. Please remember that ISSB is not bound to call you again. Re-call is only issued when it is clearly established that your reason for not appearing was based on solid grounds.

I did not receive my call letter but I have seen my call on the website, what should I do?
You call letter is issued some 20 days in advance to the actual date of your tests. It is a rare possiblity that you may not receive your call letter at all. If you have seen your name in our online callup database then you should take a print out of the same page which shows your name and report for the ISSB. The concerned ISSB staff has been instructed to accept the same as a call and let you in. Please remember that you must be in possession of other educational documents required from you to be eligible for the tests.

Ineligible Conditions of ISSB tests

Candidates falling in any one of the following are ineligible to appear in the ISSB tests:

Those who do not fulfill the academic qualifications advertised by respective services headquarters.
Those found medically unfit.
Those who have been twice Screened Out.
Those who have been twice Not Recommended by ISSB.
Those withdrawn from any training academy on disciplinary ground or found unsuitable.
Those dismissed from government service on disciplinary or unsuitability grounds.
Those dismissed from Armed Forces on disciplinary ground or being unsuitable.
Those convicted in the court of law.
Any candidate who appeared in ISSB within last 4 months.
RECOMMENDED candidates are ineligible to appear for the tests of any course for one calendar year starting from the date of recommendation at ISSB.

The Selection Board is looking for many things, such as clear thinking, the ability to remain calm under stress and strain, team skills and willingness to participate. We don’t want you to display rashness or aggression; neither do we want you to be dull or spiritless. Be honest, straightforward and frank. Don’t display over-consciousness, false projection or superficial behavior. Over the years some private institutions and coaching centers have mushroomed in the country to train the candidate for passing ISSB tests. You are advised not to join these for training and guidance. The training imparted in these centers is too restricted and brings in rigidity in thought process.
ISSB Test Appearance
You can tell a lot from a person’s appearance. Show us you have got a sense of personal pride.
ISSB Test Self Confidence
Self-confidence and maturity are largely the product of experience. You can strengthen these qualities by participating in-group activities, taking on responsibility and exercising independence.
ISSB Test Expressions
We look for people with good expression, may it be Urdu or English, clear direction, a good vocabulary and sense of grammar. Try to develop these by joining in debates and group discussions.
ISSB Test Academic Ability
Good academic results mean you will be good at absorbing the training of advanced and sophisticated equipment. Make your English and Mathematics sound.
ISSB Test Leadership
If you possess the above qualities, you will have a greater potential for leadership training. Try and seek out positions of responsibility in academic, youth, social or sports activities.
ISSB Test Fitness
Take adequate physical exercise in the run up before you report at the ISSB.
ISSB Test Motivation
You should be convincing and sincere in your reasons for wanting to join armed forces. Make sure you really know for what and why you are applying.

The candidates reporting at ISSB are subjected to an elaborate selection system and the ones with requisite leadership potentials are recommended to undergo training in the three services academies.


Inter Services Selection Board commonly known as ISSB, representing ISSB Kohat and its detachments at Gujranwala, Malir and Quetta. ISSB is the premier human resource organisation which selects future leadership for the armed forces of Pakistan. ISSB acts as nursery for the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
